DIVINE OVERFLOW

Image
JOEL CHAPTER 2 VERSE 24 - " The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil."  God's divine purpose for us as His children is to enjoy a life of overflowing blessings. Once you get born again, you are automatically entitled to the benefits of sonship due to your adoption into the Family of God. All the benefits of God's children become yours automatically. All you need to do is to follow the rules of the Kingdom and you will see yourself enjoying the benefits of sonship.  Throughout the scriptures, you can see testimonies of the miracles of overflowing blessings. From the miracle of the payment of the debt of the prophet's wife to the feeding of five thousand men and to the miracle of the catching of fish in Luke 5, you will see how God had been performing His miracle of overflowing blessings from time immemorial.  The Bible calls Abraham the Father of Faith. As a friend of God, He was prosperous. The Bible records th...

APPRECIATE GOD FOR HIS MANNA ON YOUR WAY TO THE PROMISED LAND

Image
APPRECIATE GOD FOR HIS MANNA ON YOUR WAY TO THE PROMISED LAND Exodus 16 verses 2 - 35 The children of Israel were provided with a special type of meal from heaven above while they were on their way to the promised land. They just left the land of slavery after their sojourn for over 400 years. God promised them the beautiful land of Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey. The journey to the promised land started with a miraculous deliverance from the hands of their task masters, Pharaoh and the Egyptians. They escaped from slavery after spending over 400 years in Egypt. It continued with a miraculous parting of the Red Sea while trying to escape from the Egyptian army pursuing them. It was filled with mighty wonders of God which proved that God was actually involved in the great journey to freedom and prosperous life.  However, many of the adults among the Israelites were not grateful to God. They kept murmuring at every slight inconvenience. They acted like people who n...

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE

Image
" Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven"   MATTHEW 5:16 This is a call into divine excellence by our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. He admonished the disciples to ensure that the works of their hands are so good to the extent that people will glorify Him through these glorious works. This implies that we are supposed to excel in all that we do as children of God. In our chosen careers and secular works, we are to excel. Christians must not be mediocres but must be diligent and outstanding always. The Book of Isaiah 60 verse 1 says " Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee".  We have been called to rise and shine. The glory of the LORD is evident in our lives when we rise and shine for Him. Thus, as Christians, we are to rise up and shine in all that we do. In Academics, we must shine. In the secular works, we must shine. In our societies, people mus...

THANKSGIVING

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.  1ST THESSALONIANS 5 VERSE 18 Thanksgiving is the act of appreciating someone for the good things the person has done. The Bible encourages us to always give thanks unto the LORD God for the good things He keeps doing in our lives. Sometimes, one wonders if it is always necessary to give thanks to God, especially when one finds himself/herself in a situation that seems not to be favourable enough. However, the Bible says we are to always praise and worship God for His goodness and mercy.  The rental payment we pay to the Most High God for our existence on Earth is Thanksgiving. We owe Him our existence on Earth. Without His permission, none of us can be alive not to talk of try to survive. He keeps us every day and we are expected to always give Him thanks for this. He gives us free sunlight, breath, and so on. So, whatever situation we find ourselves, let us learn to always praise God. Let...

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5 vs 16 Keep your light shining for God everywhere you go and everytime. Jesus said we should let our light shine so we are to obey Him by not allowing any situation to stop us from shining. How can I shine my light as a child of God? A Christian can shine his/her light by living a life that brings glory to God. When you act like Jesus in every situation and every time, you are shining your light. As Christians, we must live examplary lifestyles that will bring glory to God all the time. We must be shining examples of what God wants in humanity all the time. We must not let people or circumstances push you to act contrary to God's expectations of you. Our behavior, attitude and character must always bring glory to God. In your neighborhood, people must be able to testify that you are a child of God. The Bible says in the book of HEBREWS 12 verse 14 " Follo...

WAIT FOR IT, IT WILL SURELY COME

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry" -  HABAKKUK 2 VS 3. There is a time appointed by God for every promise He makes. The Bible says in the book of Proverbs Chapter 3 verse 1 "'To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven". The Almighty God is a God of order and acts in orderly manners  according to His will. Therefore, we need to be conscious of this when waiting for His wonderful promises. He knows what is good for each and every one of us at each point in time and will always do what is best for us as long as we abide in Him. Thus, we must be patient and wait for His perfect timing for every promise irrespective of how urgent we desire the manifestations of such promises. Abraham was promised a child by God in the book of Genesis Chapter 15 verses 4 and 5 " And, behold, the word of the LORD c...

HOLD ON TO GOD'S PROMISES

Hold on to God's promises for your life. He will do all He has promised you at His appointed time. Do not give up. Whatever God promises must definitely come to pass as long as you remain in Him. Joseph is a good example of God's faithfulness and fulfilment of promises. In Genesis 37 verse 5 to 9, Joseph dreamt about God's plan for His life.  Genesis 37 verse 5 to 9 -  " And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arise, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us?or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words. And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold,I have dreamed a d...
