APPRECIATE GOD FOR HIS MANNA ON YOUR WAY TO THE PROMISED LAND

APPRECIATE GOD FOR HIS MANNA ON YOUR WAY TO THE PROMISED LAND

Exodus 16 verses 2 - 35

The children of Israel were provided with a special type of meal from heaven above while they were on their way to the promised land. They just left the land of slavery after their sojourn for over 400 years. God promised them the beautiful land of Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey. The journey to the promised land started with a miraculous deliverance from the hands of their task masters, Pharaoh and the Egyptians. They escaped from slavery after spending over 400 years in Egypt. It continued with a miraculous parting of the Red Sea while trying to escape from the Egyptian army pursuing them. It was filled with mighty wonders of God which proved that God was actually involved in the great journey to freedom and prosperous life.

However, many of the adults among the Israelites were not grateful to God. They kept murmuring at every slight inconvenience. They acted like people who never saw the miracles of God. They kept murmuring and complaining. God finally provided a special type of bread which the Israelites called  "Manna" - *Exodus 16: 14 - 16* . It was a meal they never worked for. It came free of charge every morning. They also got access to flesh " quail" which came every evening - *Exodus 16 verse 13* . All these came to sustain them on their way to the promised land. However, they were ungrateful. They never appreciated the beautiful provisions of God. They kept murmuring and complaining that they preferred to go back to their land of slavery.

Unfortunately, most of the adults never had the chance of getting to the promised land. God kept them for forty years. They were stuck on the way. A journey that should have lasted for just forty days took forty years and most of them died on the way. Joshua and Caleb trusted God. They believed strongly in Him. They refused to complain and they were counted worthy of making it to the promised land. The Manna finally ended when they got to the border of the promised land, Canaan - *Exodus 16 verse 35*.

What is the promise of God for your life that seems far from being actualized? Keep appreciating God while awaiting its fulfilment. Do not murmur or complain. Be grateful for His provisions today. Tell Him you appreciate Him. Tell Him you are grateful. Do not complain brethren. Hold on to God's promises. They will surely come to pass. Canaan land is coming. Your period of overflowing blessings will still come. Be grateful daily for God's daily provisions. You will not die on the way. You will get there in Jesus name.
