LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5 vs 16

Keep your light shining for God everywhere you go and everytime. Jesus said we should let our light shine so we are to obey Him by not allowing any situation to stop us from shining. How can I shine my light as a child of God?

A Christian can shine his/her light by living a life that brings glory to God. When you act like Jesus in every situation and every time, you are shining your light. As Christians, we must live examplary lifestyles that will bring glory to God all the time. We must be shining examples of what God wants in humanity all the time. We must not let people or circumstances push you to act contrary to God's expectations of you. Our behavior, attitude and character must always bring glory to God. In your neighborhood, people must be able to testify that you are a child of God. The Bible says in the book of HEBREWS 12 verse 14 " Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the LORD". We are to be at peace with others as children of  God.

Also, a child of God must live a life of excellence. Excellence in the workplace and academics are supposed to be attributes of a child of God. Our God is a God that supports diligence. The Bible says in Proverbs Chapter 22 verse 29 " Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men". Thus, God encourages diligence and excellence in His children. We must work hard and try and excel in all we do. By doing this, we will be bringing glory to God's name. 

Let your light so shine before men. You must not hide it. Shine and bring glory to God's name and His kingdom. Be the Christian that unbelievers want to emulate. Be the light everywhere you go. Isaiah Chapter 60 verse 1 says " Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee".

Brethren, go ahead and shine for the LORD. Do not hide your light. Be the best in everything you do. Be the person everyone wants to be like. Show forth God's glory through your behavior, attitude, character, diligence and excellence.

May your light shine and bring glory to God's name in Jesus name. Amen 🙏.
